Yet another week and weekend down! Someone tell me I’m not the only person who feels like this summer is passing us by at record speed.
So, let’s get to it.
Last week at work, we had a Qdoba catered lunch to celebrate two coworkers who are each pregnant! It was de.lic.ious. I will forever say that Qdoba > Chipotle for the sole reason of queso.
Speaking of work, my grandma sent me this most adorable Calvin Klein work dress that she found at Ross! (I apologize for the poor bathroom photo – we don’t have a mirror in our bedroom (yet) so this is the best I have.)
After work one day this week, we had Danny and Sara over to grill out so I picked up some essentials at Kroger on my way home. I tried Magic Hat’s #9 for the first time and although it was fruity (I’m starting to hate fruity beers), I really enjoyed it! Perhaps the 90 degree temperatures helped.
I know I talk about our backyard, deck and lights a lot but I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. They don’t get old. We fell in love with our house the second we saw the backyard and these lights just make it perfect.
Gracie wasn’t too into smiling for a photo, but we tried to make it work.
Speaking of work, I know I haven’t talked much about it here but I really love it, you guys. I’m doing what I love, the people are great and the clients are giving me a lot of great experiences. I couldn’t ask for anything more. And thanks to said job, I got to go to the Louisville Bats game on Thursday evening. Was a great time, despite the Bats losing (which I didn’t care about since they’re the Reds Triple A team – ha!).
On Friday, a few of us from the office ventured out to El Taco Luchador for lunch, which is owned by the same people who run Mussel & Burger Bar. You KNOW Mussel & Burger Bar is my favorite, so I expected great things from El Taco Luchador. It did not disappoint.
I got one chicken taco and one steak taco.
And of course their sweet potato fries with smoked pineapple dipping sauce. Wowza – what a lunch! I was ready to crawl under my desk and take the fattest nap ever, but I survived…
…Because right after work, I met up with Kev and we headed to the Louisville Blues, Brews and BBQ Festival presented by Four Roses Bourbon, one of my clients. The festival was fun and the bourbon was fresh, making it an excellent Friday night!
I did pretty boring things the rest of the weekend thanks to Kev’s work schedule, but I got caught up on bills, laundry and the Harry Potter marathon on ABC Family. I also grabbed a few hours at the pool with Sara and survived without a terrible sunburn, unlike last time. Twas a great week and weekend, indeed!
