A Louisville Weekend

Last weekend, my grandparents and my aunt came to visit. We ate, played host and hostess and spent a day at the well-known Churchill Downs. Here are a few snapshots from our visit.

After asking approximately 15 different people for directions on how to get to our seats (my grandpa is in a wheelchair so it was harder than normal), we made it in time to place our bets on a race and grab a beer and some popcorn. I learned so much about racing and placing bets – it’s a lot more fun than I imagined. We can’t wait to go back.

We dined at Mussel & Burger Bar, El Torazo, Mark’s Feed Store and Wild Eggs. All were equally delicious. What wedding diet? 😉

We also toured the Muhammad Ali museum, saw the Kentucky Show and toured the Louisville Slugger museum. A truly Louisville-filled weekend.

This weekend, we helped Danny and Sara get settled into their apartment, while fitting in wedding invitation ordering and honeymoon research. I can’t believe it’s practically mid-July. Again, where did 2013 go?!

Dirty Dancing just started on Lifetime, and that’s one I just cannot pass up.
