Adventures of Dad

This past weekend was one of the best weekends Kevin and I have had in awhile!

We got so much done, INCLUDING finding my wedding dress! Wahoo! I won’t go into too many details now for obvious reasons, but after our first appointment, I was totally discouraged. Maybe it’s because my “wedding consultant” decided to go on and on about how “I was killing her” when I wasn’t liking any dress she pulled for me. How about if I told you I didn’t like poof, don’t bring me 20+ dresses with poof? ANYWAYS, other than that first appointment, the rest of the day went smoothly and when I put on the dress, I knew it was the one because I didn’t want to take it off! I also knew it was the one because I couldn’t find anything wrong with it, whereas with all of the other dresses I had on, I immediately pointed out everything I hated.

It’s normally not like me to make such a big decision that quickly, but both my mom and Kevin’s mom (and sister!) were there and I knew there wouldn’t be a dress that I would like more so I went for it!

Back up a day (wedding dress shopping was Saturday) and my parents, Kevin and I were doing this on Friday afternoon.

We feasted Friday night while watching Act of Valor (a must see movie). Bladdick’s know how to eat. (cough, about that wedding dress, cough)

We also celebrated my birthday (again!) with a mini cheesecake and more presents!

One of my presents? CASA SALSA. The best! Although I think I shed a tear while eating this salsa because all it made me want was this meal and I’ll never ever be able to have it ever again. Boo.

It was a fantastic weekend and we’re pretty excited to go to St. Louis in a few weeks for more wedding stuff and family time!
