I know I promised a float trip recap butttttt I keep forgetting to go to Walgreens to get my waterproof disposable camera photos. I know that sounds ridiculous but I have pictures on there from our family Destin trip in 2011 that I forgot all about! I happened to find the camera when packing for this camping trip and discovered it had 6 pictures left. I can’t wait to see them developed!
But anyways. This weekend. It was fun. Well, Friday and Sunday were lame but Saturday was fun! We slept in, ran a few errands and went to Molly Malones to watch the Arsenal game. I couldn’t believe how many legit Arsenal fans were in Kentucky, but there was probably a group of 50 or so.
So after an afternoon of day drinking, we came home and napped. I loved telling my coworkers, who are parents, what our Saturday afternoon was like when they asked. They all said, ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN! But truthfully, there aren’t too many weekends that Kevin has off and usually when he has one off, were visiting family, traveling somewhere or trying to do house projects. So this was a nice change!
Anyways, after our nap we got fancied up and went to my coworker’s wedding! Holly and JK got married in Belize earlier this month but they celebrated with a reception at Copper & King’s, a seriously amazing distillery here in Louisville.
Their party was so fun, and it was nice to hang out with coworkers outside of the office. Because let’s be serious, my job and the people I work with are awesome.
The bride and groom thought of everything! They even had a s’mores bar set up by the fire pit!
(Ignore the chocolate all over my hands. Gross.)
But perhaps the best part was when White Castles was delivered at the end of the night. Two hundred burgers from whities – so clutch!
We ended the night after the reception because someone, cough – Kevin – cough, had an early flight the next day to go to another friend’s wedding. (I was invited but couldn’t go because of work.) So Kevin woke me up at 5 am to drive him to the airport. #bestwifeever or maybe, #crabbiestwifever.
Regardless, American Airlines still managed to screw everything up and canceled Kevin’s flight to Louisville last night so I had to drive up to Cincinnati at 9 p.m. to pick him up. Gracie and I tried to wait patiently but as soon as his flight landed, we raced home to get to bed.
Having fun on weekends sure is tiring! Good thing we got that solid nap in on Saturday. 😒
