I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but planning your own wedding takes up so much time (in my opinion) that I haven’t been able to enjoy some of the simple things in life for the past couple of months. All summer long, Kevin and I kept saying “well do [insert anything non wedding related] after the wedding.” This includes making eye doctor appointments, carving pumpkins, decorating our house, etc. etc.
With Halloween quickly approaching tomorrow, Kev and I wanted to complete one of our favorite fall-related tasks before it was too late, so we ventured out to Walmart tonight for a shiny orange pumpkin to carve.
Kevin and I honeymooned in Orlando this past week (more on that soon!) and we spent the majority of our week-long stay at the various Disney World parks. We were trying to decide what to carve in our pumpkin and Kevin found an adorable outline of Mickey, so we went with it!
I think he turned out pretty cute!
This is our first fall in our house and as I mentioned above, we simply haven’t had the spare time to enjoy some of the great things like our beautiful tree leaves changing color.
And because tomorrow night is Halloween, we STOCKED up with candy this year (4 lb. bag!) for all of our trick-or-treaters. I just wish Gracie was here with us this week (she’s still at Gma and Gpa B’s while we were on our honeymoon) so we could dress her up.
I promise that wedding and honeymoon posts will come soon. We’re just trying to adjust to “normal” life now that the chaos is over. You understand! 😉
P.S. I’m not talking about this Cardinals game for a reason.
