Feels like Fall

Thank you to everyone who sent in kind words and their own similar frustrations regarding wedding planning in my last post! Since my minor break-down, I haven’t really done much other than look at weekends Kevin and I can go to St. Louis to visit venues/churches.

Instead of worrying about planning, Kevin and I had an awesome, relaxing evening last night!

FALL IS NEAR! It is BY FAR, my absolute FAVORITE SEASON. In fact, I’m obsessed with ALL THINGS FALL. Some of my favorite things include:

  • Hockey season starts (hopefully)
  • Hoodies
  • Blankets
  • Fall leaves
  • The smell
  • Fall beer
  • Boots
  • Bon fires
  • Chili
  • NFL
  • Scarves
  • Cardinal red (well, last year anyways)
  • Pumpkin carving
  • Pumpkin spice latte
  • Apple picking (orchards are my favorite)
  • Cinnamon
  • Fall candles
  • Gossip Girl
  • New TV shows (any good ones out there?)
What else is awesome about fall? It’s pretty much the best.

I got off at noon yesterday (I’m going to be seriously depressed when Summer Fridays are over) and Kevin got off at two! We spent the afternoon cleaning because our apartment desperately needed it.

After a quick afternoon nap with the windows open (the best), we grilled some burgers! The weather here has been absolutely amazing and we spent the majority of our evening outside.

I think it’s time we get actual patio furniture. This table is not cutting it.

We watched the movie Wunderlust but only got halfway through it before we turned it off and called it a night.

This morning, I woke up early and made cinnamon rolls to eat on the patio!

Don’t let that picture fool you…they weren’t homemade (thanks, Pillsbury) and I most definitely had three. 🙂

Now I’m off to the gym before Kevin and I head to the Iowa State Fair this afternoon! (I love when Kevin has weekend evenings off.)
