Have you ever just had one of those days? You know what I’m talking about…the day when nothing goes the way you expected or planned. I’m a completely type-A person with a plan in mind at all times. So last night, I expected the Cardinals and Blues to win. I also expected Best Buy to call and tell me my brand new iPhone 4S was ready to be picked up. Then, when I got home from work today, I expected Direct Student Loan’s website and phone number to work so I could make my payment. Finally, I expected my prescription to be ready from Walgreens today. Did any of those things happen? Nope.
I have been looking forward for my new phone for months. Sprint just got the rights to sell the iPhone and I’ve been waiting forever for them to get it. I pre-ordered my phone last Friday and counted down the days (and even hours) until I would get it. Finding out Best Buy didn’t have any in (and they have no idea when they’ll get them in) was just plain depressing.
And you know what I can do about it? Nothing! And now a clip from my favorite movie of all time, “Liar, Liar” to perfectly describe how I am feeling (watch the whole thing) –
I did my fair share of venting, but you know what? There isn’t anything I can do about any of it, so I shouldn’t let it bring me down and ruin my entire evening. It’s Friday! I should be happy!
After I got off work, Kevin was feeling my frustrations so we took a nice
long short walk to the local grocery store to pick up some goodies. Our stash –
Can you tell it’s been a long day? Yes, that is three boxes of Cheez-its. It’s Kevin’s favorite snack and they were on sale for 3/$5. And yes, the bag of white cheddar popcorn is open. We got hungry on the walk back from the grocery store so we umm…shamefully ate a few handfuls on our way home.
Tonight we plan to stay in, cook up a nice dinner, have
a couple many Margs and watch the Cardinals game. GO CARDS!!
