One of the best things we did on our honeymoon was make FastPass+ reservations to dine at Be Our Guest for lunch. Advance Dining Reservations for dinner here are booked 6+ months in advance (crazy!) and we hear the line for lunch can be an hour or longer, so we were very lucky to get FastPass+ reservations (FYI though this website).
We didn’t have a lot of time options, so we ate lunch at 10 a.m. – oops! But because we had reservations so early, we were the THIRD person in line and we got to see their little opening ceremony where they actually said the beginning lines of “Be our Guest.” I was so entertained by this.
Be our Guest is a quick/service restaurant on the Disney Dining Plan (what a deal!) and we ordered our meal on a screen in the room pictured below. Then, we scanned our MagicBand and our food was delivered without any table numbers or anything. The MagicBands must have some GPS navigation system – like magic!
The inside of the restaurant was ah-mazing. The details are breathtaking, and that is not an understatement. Even the soda fountain machine is crazy detailed.
Since we were the third person to get into the restaurant, we got to pick any seat in the house. This restaurant has three different dining rooms – the main Ballroom, the West Wing and Belle’s Library. We chose to sit by the snowy windows in the main Ballroom. So, so magical looking.
Beauty and the Beast is not only my favorite Disney movie ever, but it’s also Kevin’s! I knew I married him for a reason. 😉
The food wasn’t half bad either! I ordered the Carved Prime Rib Chuck Roast sandwich with the Master’s Cupcake (it has “the grey stuff” on top!)
Kevin ordered the Croque Monsieur and a strawberry cheesecake.
After we ate, we wandered to the other two dining rooms to check them out. The West Wing was so awesome. Totally scary, just like the scenes in the movie.
Every time it thunders/lightnings (maybe every 10-15 min.), this picture changes to look like the beast.
And at that time, a rose petal falls. I was geeking out over this!
The library dining area was cool, but it wasn’t nearly as awesome as the other two areas to eat.
Our full wedding pictures came today and they are amazing! I cannot wait to share with all of you! I really need to sit down and figure out which ones to share or we may be recapping this wedding for the next 5 years (I swear, I won’t do that). Our photographer, Laura Ann Miller Photography, put up a few pictures on her website blog today. You can check it out here, if you’d like!
