Errr so I suck and promised a post on Thursday all about our fun weekend last weekend but well life happened and friends came over and that was way more fun that blogging. We’re just gonna have to back track a bit.
I did Week 1 Day 3 of the Couch to 5K app on Friday right after work and it was awesome because the weather was so amazing, I was able to wear shorts!
We kicked off our Saturday with a trip to Home Depot, which is pretty much a weekly trip for us. We were scoping out some pricing on projects that we’re actually working on this weekend (stay tuned!).
Home Depot knows its way to a woman’s heart…free popcorn.
Once we were done with errands, we met up with Danny and Sara because we had tickets to the Louisville Bats vs. Cincinnati Reds exhibition game at the Louisville Slugger Field.
We went to Against the Grain brewery – where we went when my parents were in town – before the game. We got there at 2 p.m. thinking we’d have a few beers and an appetizer before the game, but the brewery was closed until 3 p.m. because of a big kitchen fire! And it was raining. And cold. Soooooo we just waited until it opened. And when it did, we drank up!
We were all so mad because the weather was gorgeous on Friday and Sunday, but rainy and cold on Saturday. Terrible luck! We made up for it (and the boring game) by eating nachos. A must!
We finished our night at BDubs with wings, more beer and basketball. Sara and I really only went for the wings and beer.
Sunday we took Gracie for a walk/run and I followed the Week 2, Day 1 of the Couch to 5K app.
My friend Julia from Cincinnati came down for the day to visit and we enjoyed brunch at Wild Eggs, one of my favorites! I got their DELICIOUS breakfast nachos (two kinds of nachos in two days – my kind of weekend!) and almost ate the entire thing.
And then our weekend sadly came to an end and my toe started hurting. WAH. It’s feeling better today though!
Off to finish some more (very, VERY exciting house projects) before we head downtown tonight. Have I mentioned how much I love weekends? No?
