Look at what came!!
The lovely Miss Jackie Kenyon designed them for us and they arrived in the mail earlier this week. After addressing a few, I quickly discovered that Kevin has wayyyyy better handwriting than me. I’ve actually always known this, but I accepted defeat and pronounced him as Save the Date addresser.
We’re almost done addressing with hopes to get them sent out on Monday or Tuesday of next week. 😉
Last night we bravely ventured outside of our house for dinner despite knowing that Louisville fans would be everywhere.
We secretly rooted for Oregon, mostly because I am mad my teams already lost.
Seriously, though, look at my bracket. I suck.
We ate at Mellow Mushroom in St. Matthews and had a pretty good experience. The beer selection and salad were out of this world, but we weren’t too excited about the main course.
Like I said, the beer selection was great. I started off with a Hoegaarden, which was perfectly crisp for the warmer weather we were experiencing.
The salad, oh my goodness, was one of the best I’ve ever had. I honestly wish I would have skipped ordering a pizza and just gotten the larger salad as my meal. It came with dried cherries, candied pecans, apples, feta and spinach – right up my alley. Kevin didn’t even try to steal one bite. 😉
Because it was Good Friday, Kevin couldn’t eat meat so we were limited with our pizza choices. I would have been fine with a pie full of veggies, but Kevin wanted cheese only so we decided to go our separate ways and order a Calzone. Bad choice – it wasn’t good. I wish he could have cheated so we would have scarfed down a big fat Buffalo Chicken bad boy. Next time!
I don’t want to jinx ourselves, but it’s in the mid-50’s today which means I’m blogging from the patio! Ah spring/summer is near! I can feel it in my bones!
I hope everyone has a happy and wonderful Easter tomorrow! 🙂
