Memorial Day Weekend Wedding

I’ve been behind on the times, you know, because our lives are chaotic and currently in shambles, but I really wanted to write about our Memorial Day weekend. We actually went back to St. Louis because my friend from college was getting married! We arrived a day before the wedding to hang out with family. We went to visit my grandpa’s cemetery to leave a flag (he was in the Army!) and ventured over to Peel Pizza which was nearby.

This place was GOOOOOOOD. We got a couple appetizers, three salads and a few pizzas for our big group to split. If you’re in St. Louis, I promise Peel is worth venturing over the river!

After dinner, because we weren’t fatty enough, we went to Fritz’s…for the best frozen custard.

The pups each got their own doggy cone, which were devoured in seconds.

I think Nala, my parent’s dog, ate hers in one bite, actually.

Okay okay so the real reason we were in St. Louis for Heather and AJ’s wedding! Heather and I met in college and she was my big sister in our sorority. She looked absolutely gorgeous on her big day and we’re so happy to have celebrated with them!

We bonded over many things, but especially our love of St. Louie. Her reception was held downtown with an amazing view of the City Museum! (Which by the way, I just realized I’ve never taken Kevin there which is horrible. That’s going to the top of our Things To Do Once We Move To St. Louis list.)

We ate, we drank and we danced. Did I mention we ate? They had donuts as dessert and no joke, that was the best donut I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. The donuts pictured here are about a third of the actual, whole donut size. Which is why I made this sign (with a napkin and lipstick) so we could eat it in stages.

It was a great long weekend back home celebrating good friends and their marriage!
