I am a pretty indecisive person when it comes to home decor. That doesn’t seem like such a bad problem, but I’m very impatient and decisive when I put my mind to something. So, if I decide the TV should be mounted, well, sometimes I wake up on a Saturday morning while Kevin is at work and do it myself.
When we first moved in, we mounted our TV over our fireplace but over time, we realized it was just too high and we didn’t like the way the living room was set up. So we moved the TV to the staircase wall and set it on the TV stand we used in our old apartments. We’ve had the living room set up this way for a long time, but the wall was so bare. I made prints with quotes from some of our favorite TV shows and have had them framed for awhile, but I was trying to figure out how I wanted to arrange them.
Well, I remembered that TV mount that was just collecting dust in the basement and thought we might as well put it to good use. Enter… the newly mounted TV and my new favorite wall in our house!
I’ve been collecting frames over time and finally designed and printed a few of my favorite TV show quotes. “Legend-wait for it-dary” from How I Met Your Mother, “I jump, you jump, Jack” from Gilmore Girls, “Clear Eyes Full Hearts Can’t Lose” from Friday Night Lights and of course, my favorite (and also from our wedding), “You’re my Lobster” from Friends.
I especially love that we now have full capability of turning the TV, which will be pretty key on Thanksgiving when football is on but we’re all eating at the table. 😉
Just an afternoon project, no big deal! <brushes shoulder off>
