On Wedding Planning (so far)

It’s really not what I thought it would be like. I thought I would be all organized and stuff, but it’s been really hard to sort all of my thoughts and ideas.

There are too many things to choose from.

Other brides are on top of it crazy and have booked venues through fall of 2013. (Literally, we have been in contact with one venue and the only fall date that have open is in August. That’s not even fall, lady.)

I really hate not being in St. Louis. I can’t just go look at a venue on a Monday night after work.

ItΒ isΒ stressful, no matter how many times I told myself I was not going to stress about it.

  1. Hey I hear you about the August month and about planning ahead! The 2 things I did first were book the church and the country club. The church I booked 3 months before we were engaged and the club was 18 months before the wedding date. Do you have a set wedding date or are you looking for the availability of the venue first?
I know it is stressful but if you need to bounce ideas around I am happy to listen. Katie has been texting me. I am all ears πŸ™‚ miss you can’t wait to see you in Boston.

    • We’d like to find a venue first, then pick a date off their availability. We don’t really have a specific date in mind, just Sept. or Oct. in 2013. πŸ™‚ See you soon!

  2. Keep the faith, my dear! I can completely relate to how difficult wedding planning from long distance can be – it feels so intangible and complicated. Please, please let me know if there’s anything I can do – even if it’s just to commiserate about how annoying it all is. Or google docs. I have about 14 million of those.
