We had such a whirlwind of a trip – from the eastern time zone to the west coast and back – all within 72 hours. We made it worth it, though!
We started off bright and way too early Saturday morning at 4 a.m. to catch our 8 a.m. flight out of Indianapolis (Louisville airport didn’t have times that worked out for us so we flew out of Indy).
(PS don’t you love our luggage tags? My aunt Pam gave these to us at our Cincinnati shower. My mom gave us Mr. & Mrs. luggage tags too, but we can’t use those quite yet!)
After connecting in Denver, we were in San Fran before we knew it! We met with our friends Peter and Ali who drove down from Oregon to spend the day with us. We headed to Fisherman’s Wharf to walk around and grab lunch because we were all starving.
Being on the coast meant we had to get seafood, so Kev and I split the fish tacos and peel and eat ’em shrimp. Wow, best fish tacos I’ve ever had! And it’s no trip to San Fran without an Anchor Steam beers!
Our hotel was in Chinatown, but close to the Little Italy area and we found a cute little Italian restaurant (Piazza Pellegrini) to have dinner.
Vino – when in Cali!
After dinner, we headed to Rogue, a bar to grab some drinks. I stuck to their microbrews, but Kev and Peter decided whiskey shots were a good idea.
