I most definitely wrote this yesterday on my trip back from SF and literally crashed as soon as I got home. Sorry for the delay!
Hello from way up in the sky, somewhere over Indiana (most likely)! I’m traveling back from San Francisco for a work trip which was pretty successful if I do say so myself. My client launched their service in the California market and I was excited to be a part of it!
Now I have a few days back in Louisville before I have a one-night trip in Knoxville and another one-night trip in VEGAS! (I’m a little excited for that work trip if you can’t tell.) Then, I’ll be DONE with work trips until the end of the year (I think) and I’ll be able to focus on REAL vacation – our cruise! – and Christmas with mine and Kevin’s families – including a lot of time off work, which I desperately need after these last few crazy weeks.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to do much sightseeing in San Francisco because I had client stuff mostly the whole time. Here are a few snapshots from my trip out there.
Upon checking into the hotel, the front desk asked if I was visiting for business or pleasure. When I answered business, he gave me a free drink coupon. Sawheeeeeet! From now on, its always business. 😉
I didn’t get to have as much seafood as I’d like (I was really looking forward to meeting up with my friend Christa for sushi!) but it just didn’t happen. I was able to get a bowl of clam chowder and fish tacos squeezed in there, though!
We went to the Boudin Bakery in Fisherman’s Wharf for lunch yesterday and I had an Anchor Steam (San Francisco local brew) and fish tacos. Talk about HEAVEN!
And the view was killer! That’s Alcatraz Island!
While I was in SF, I was able to meet up with a new friend, who I actually know through Katie! She lives and works in SF and she came out to help me at my client’s event.
I have been to San Francisco once before for vacation, and even though I was younger, I remember a lot of it! Even though we weren’t able to see much of the city, I’m so glad we were able to at least explore a bit!
And we even fit in a cable car ride! SO fun!
Now it’s time to sleep. And rest my poor, poor, tired and exhausted brain. (Mixing work stress + house hunting + wedding planning is not recommended. Take my word for it.)
