So long sweatpants, slippers and the best co-worker ever – Gracie.
After being with my current company for two and a half years and working from home for the past year and a half, I was ready for a positive change. I spent a lot of time praying and hoping that the right fit would come along and well, God is good and I start a new position at a PR firm in downtown Louisville on June 3, right when we get back from vacation!
I can’t lie – I’ve had it pretty good. Working from home definitely has its perks and I’m sure some people are thinking I must be crazy to give this up.
But I’m also 25-years-old and live in a completely new city and even though we’ve lived here for a year and a half, I hardly even know where the nearest pharmacy is! Unless I’m going to the grocery store, Target, one of our three favorite restaurants or our friend’s apartment, I have to use my GPS. I feel like I don’t know anything about Louisville!
And as much as I love our house and being home, I feel like I am home all the time.
So this week I’m saying see ya later to the fantastic owners of my current company and everything they have given me. We head out on vacation at the end of this week (!) and when we get back, I start a new job! I can’t wait to be challenged in a new and exciting environment. It sounds like the fit couldn’t be more perfect!
Looking forward to this next step. Cheers!
