Some Ramblings

Well it turns out I’m not the only 20 something who feels the way I do about exercise! Thanks for the comments and input, y’all. I love it! (Yep. Just said y’all. That’s what happens when you live in Kentuk.)

It’s been awhile since I’ve just rambled, so we’re going to keep going with the flow.

Four Eyes

My hottie hubby just got his new glasses! He got these frames from Warby Parker and loves them! He keeps saying, “wow, our TV looks really good!” or “Oh, so that’s what that looks like!” I’m glad my husband can see now. I sure hope he still finds me attractive. 😉

Snow in March

I am DONE with this weather! Absolutely done! Move me to Florida already. I just want to sweat. Although I hear it’s supposed to be 70 tomorrow…I foresee a nice run and a BBQ dinner in our future.

Movies!

Totally, random but when we were in St. Louis, we watched American Hustle and Wolf of Wall Street with my family. Perhaps not total “family movies” for most families, but I mean…my fam is pretty cool.

Both were great, but I really loved Wolf of Wall Street. Sure, it was dirty, sexist, full of foul language and uncomfortable moments, but Leo was so great. I really can’t believe he didn’t win an Oscar for his performance. If 2014 was his year, that was it!

American Hustle was also good, and I was really impressed with Christian Bale. The way he’s able to transform for his roles is truly amazing. But I am pretty over Jennifer Lawrence. I think she’s great in The Hunger Games, but in my opinion, she’s overrated in some of her most recent roles, like Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. I know, I know, but I’m really not impressed.

Side note: does it bother anyone else the way they list the actors titles on a movie poster? It’s not alphabetically, nor is it in the order that they’re standing. Who decides this?!

Our Lawn

When we moved into our house, I was in love with the FIVE trees we have in our backyard. But we have a problem with grass. What little grass is in our backyard, is crap. There’s so much shade and Gracie is back there all the time, so it’s pretty much a disaster. Heeeeelp!

Aside from not knowing how in the world to magically grow grass, we have plans to rip up the old wood from the potted area in the picture below, and finally decorate our deck! I am envisioning string lights, an umbrella for our table, a rug, a small bar area/table and a comfy bench.

Just looking at that picture above has me so excited for tomorrow’s weather. Please oh please oh please stay warm!
