After Ikea, we traveled north to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Steph and Mark’s wedding.
Steph and I lived across the hall from each other for two years and even graduated together! I was so happy when her and Mark got engaged and their wedding was absolutely beautiful.
The wedding made me tear up – especially when Steph walked down the aisle with her dad.
After the wedding, we went back to the hotel to freshen up before heading to the reception at the Mequon Country Club. Cocktail hour started at 5 p.m., with light appetizers – including delicious Wisconsin cheese!
A little bit later, they served a delicious dinner and we listened to some great speeches and saw a hilarious slideshow. Then it was time for cake – banana nut flavor – delicious! After all that, it was time to dance and listen to the live band (and continue drinking).
They also had the best wedding favors – these beer huggies that said “To have and to hold and keep your beer cold.” They were awesome! (P.S. – If you went to the wedding and didn’t get one…I took like 10…I’ll give you one of mine)
The end of the night was incredibly eventful. My purse ended up being missing. Katie and Jackie stayed with me to help me look for it but we couldn’t find it anywhere. I went back to the hotel and canceled my credit and debit cards. Then, at 8 a.m., I got a phone call that said my purse was at the front desk of the hotel. Kelsi decided she was going to take my purse home (no idea why…did you like it, Kels?) and I didn’t realize she took it. Well, at least I get two new cards? Ha ha – like I said … eventful.
