I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Those service men and women out there are truly some special people, aren’t they?! My grandma said she went by my grandpa’s grave to put a flag by his area (he served in the Army), which I thought was special. We celebrated the long weekend the best way we know how…a float trip! I don’t have a blog post ready yet, because I’m waiting to have my waterproof camera pictures developed. Yes, you read that right.
So there will be a slight delay on that post, but I do have a really fun dog treat recipe to share! I took Gracie to the vet earlier this week for a routine visit and I saw the vet puts out a monthly newsletter so I read it while we waited. It listed a really easy summertime treats for pups so I thought I’d share!
Peanut Butter Ice Cream (for dogs)
Recipe from Stony Brook Animal Hospital’s May Newsletter
- 2 cups vanilla yogurt (or plain)
- 1 cup peanut butter
- Slightly melt peanut butter in microwave for 45-60 seconds
- Mix together with yogurt
- Pour batter in muffin tins and freeze overnight
I made Gracie wait patiently before she got her first treat…
And then…she chowed.
