We have celebrated two of our three Christmases, but before I get to those, I want to share what we were up to the weekend before Christmas. Kevin had the whole weekend off, which is pretty rare, so we planned tons of stuff to take full advantage.
Up first? Date night at Mussel & Burger Bar! We just can’t resist. It’s too good.
We got up early on Saturday morning and drove to Chicago because some of our college friends were getting together for a party. It was worth the drive just for one night to see these gals again!
We drove back to Cincinnati because Kevin had tickets to the Bengals MNF game, and Brendan was in town! He was visiting his girlfriend so we made sure to exchange gifts since I wasn’t going to be able to see him on Christmas.
While the boys were at the MNF game, Sara and I headed to Cloud 9 for some sushi. I had Cloud 9 for the first time a few months ago and I’ve been dreaming of their Sunday Morning roll ever since. I finally got to indulge again and introduce Sara to my favorite sushi roll ever. I could eat it every day. So good so good so good.
We drove back to Louisville on Tuesday morning and Gracie girl was sad to say goodbye to her grandma.
But once we were back home, we went hardcore into Christmas mode. We made cookies, wrapped presents and listened to Christmas music nonstop.
Tis the best time of the year!
