This past weekend was our first weekend at home without any plans since July. We’re busy bees! Although Kevin had to work for some of the weekend, we managed to spend a lot of time together, see friends AND kick ass on stuff around the house. Certainly my kind of weekend.
We kicked off the weekend a bit early with boneless Thursdays at Buffalo Wild Wings for the first night of football. ‘Twas a good time.
On Friday, Danny & Sara celebrated their 10-year dating anniversary by ADOPTING A PUPPY! This sweet little thing came over to visit us and her new puppy cousin (Gracie) on Friday. I couldn’t put her down.
Gracie and Pepper got along great, given their sizes and unfamiliarity with each other.
I LOVE PUPPIES.
I spent most of the day on Saturday with Sara and Pepper because..well…puppy. Obviously. Kevin and more friends came over to Danny & Sara’s Saturday night and we ordered pizza. Nice low-key night with friends.
On Sunday, I decided Danny & Sara probably want to hold and play with their own puppy (hahaha) so I stayed at home and got a TON done around the house. I love feeling accomplished. I took care of spraying for bugs, laundry, pulling weeds, cutting grass, filling a hole in our siding, cooking dinner, blogging and I even got a chance to read some chapters in the new book I borrowed from a friend at work, Gone Girl. The windows have been open all day, I have my fall-scented candles going and we have had football on TV all day.
Welcome, fall. You can stay awhile.
