Some snapshots of our weekend from my iPhone.
We went to our friend Kevin and Kirsten’s house on Friday and the boys played drinking games all night (I drove). I felt like we were freshman in college again. I didn’t hate it.
Kev and I headed to Target on Saturday (poor decision – the place was a zoo) to do some wedding gift returns and purchase a REAL vacuum. It’s love. Gracie hair be gone!
We went to a comedy club on Saturday night with some friends to celebrate Kevin’s birthday early. The comedy club venue itself was great, but the main headliner comedian, Greg Hahn, was on some serious acid. I’ve never seen a man clap or snap so many times in 45 minutes. It was pretty disappointing considering how much we loved the comedians on board our Carnival cruise this past December (we went each night we were on board, recapped here, here and here).
Most evenings (okay 99.9% of the time), I cook dinner. And I don’t mind! It’s no secret that I absolutely love to cook, so that’s one task that doesn’t seem like a chore. But the other day Kevin mentioned that he wanted to cook dinner one night, from start to finish, without any help. Be my guest! Tonight’s dinner was carne asada (he used this recipe) and it was absolutely delicious. Well done, hubby!
There will be no photo of this topic, for obvious reasons, but last night I had a dream that we were back on our honeymoon and it was one of my favorite dreams ever. I have this secret talent where if I wake up from a dream for any reason, I can continue that dream once I fall back asleep, and I could have stayed in bed all day reliving every moment of our honeymoon. Perhaps it’s time to start working on recapping our trip!
Now, I must get back to my wine, cozy socks and The Voice! Go Caroline and Jacquie!
