Weekend Speed

Why do Sundays always come so quickly? We’re all like “Awe yeah it’s Friday” and then I swear 30 seconds later it’s Sunday at 10 p.m. WHY WHY WHYYYYYY

This week may be the slowest week ever because my bachelorette party is THIS coming weekend in CHICAGO and I’m counting down the hours.

Let’s rewind.

Last week I had to go up to Cleveland for work. Kevin was off work so he rode up with me. We walked around town, tried out a few new restaurants and enjoyed the miniest of mini vacations.

The free (unlimited) beer at our hotel from 4-7:30 helped make the mini trip into a “vacation.”

IMG_3804 I was up there for work, and my client media event was the same morning as the Ariel Castro sentencing. OF COURSE!

IMG_3805 We walked by the madness and saw NBC’s Kate Snow.

IMG_3807 On our way home from Cleveland, we stopped at Ikea to pick up a few things for the house and wedding.

IMG_3809 And pretty soon we were in Cincinnati picking up our girl. Even one night away and I missed her like crazy.

IMG_3810On Friday night we did some MAJOR house work. We finished hanging and setting up our perrrrty white shelves (remember when we originally hung them this long ago?)

IMG_3816We got a lot of GREAT stuff at our wedding shower last weekend (more on that another day) so we were excited to break out some of our gifts and show them off.

IMG_3818 IMG_3819 IMG_3821 IMG_3833We hung bathroom shelving (more on that later), sprayed for bugs outside, put away the rest of our shower gifts and rearranged the living room. It’s coming together!

  1. LOVE the shelf bar! What a cute idea. And your living room is adorable. Someone’s been on Pinterest 🙂

    • I found the shelves through YoungHouseLove.com actually! I was a little disappointed in Pinterest when trying to figure out what to put up there, but it all worked out!

    • I do too! I saw it pinned on Pinterest when we first bought the house and fell in love with the idea. Worked out well for us! Thank you!
